What is a notarized a life certificate?
A notarized life certificate is a certificate confirming that a certain person is alive.
Life certificates are required by different authorities in Israel and abroad for different purposes. For example, pension payments from the national insurance institute (Bituach Leumi) or compensation payments from Germany are paid under the condition that a life certificate has been presented, confirming that the beneficiary is alive.
In case the eligible individual is prevented from signing the certificate for health reasons, it is possible to submit a health certificate confirming the eligible individual is alive together with an identification document and a life certificate.
Israeli law authorizes Israeli licensed notaries to issue life certificates.
In order to receive a notarized life certificate, the client must sign in the presence of the notary. Therefore, the signatory must attend our offices.
